Support Worker / Care Professional - Transition into Specialist EducationLocation: Sheffield Salary:£95-£120 per day Contract: Full-time | Long-term | September Start Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded specialist SEND school within a well-established multi-academy trust in Sheffield. Are you currently working in care, healthcare, residential care, supported living, mental health or another support-based role and looking for a rewarding career change? Your skills are highly valued within specialist education. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your experience supporting vulnerable individuals to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs. The school supports pupils with a range of complex needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), communication needs and associated complex needs. As part of a multi-academy trust, there may also be opportunities to work across other specialist settings within the trust. The Role • Support pupils throughout the school day on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. • Build trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe, valued and confident. • Assist teachers in delivering engaging learning activities. • Encourage pupils to develop communication, independence and life skills. • Support pupils with personal care where required. • Promote positive behaviour through patience, consistency and empathy. • Work alongside teachers, therapists and other professionals to provide the best outcomes for every pupil. • Help create a calm, safe and nurturing learning environment. Pay RateThe daily rate for this position is £95-£120 per day. Where you fall within this pay range will depend on several factors, including: • Your previous care, healthcare or SEND experience. • Relevant qualifications, training and transferable skills. • The budget allocated to the role by the school.
