About the Role:We are seeking a patient, consistent Support Worker for a rewarding 1-on-1 role supporting a young person with ASD, ADHD, and Learning Difficulties in Workington. You will follow a robust Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plan to provide a predictable routine across home, education, and community settings.
Suitable for applicants with experience as a Youth Worker, Care Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, or Residential Childcare Worker.
Key Responsibilities:
• PBS Implementation: Consistently use strategies like 'now and next' visual boards.
• Structured Communication: Use simple language (1-2 key words) and supported visuals.
• Engagement: Facilitate short bursts of Intensive Interaction and shared play.
• Community Access: Safely drive and transport the client to activities.
Requirements:
• Proven experience supporting young people with ASD, ADHD, or Learning Difficulties.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and confidence driving the client.
• Exceptionally calm, reliable, and committed to routine.
