Job description

Are you passionate about making a genuine difference in a young person's life? We are seeking dedicated and empathetic Support Workers to join our team. Our supported living service provides a safe, nurturing environment for young people aged 16 - 18 as they navigate the crucial transition into adulthood. We don't just provide a roof over their heads, we equip them with the tangible life skills they need to thrive. What You Will Do: • Prioritise Safety & Wellbeing: Ensure the physical and emotional safety of our young people remains paramount during this transition period. • Build Independence: Mentor residents in developing everyday life skills (cooking, budgeting, managing appointments). • Support Pathways: Help young people engage with our unique apprenticeship and trade skill programmes to prepare them for independent living. • Be a Trusted Adult: Provide a listening ear, set positive boundaries, and act as a reliable role model. Shift Patterns Available:We offer flexible shift patterns to fit your lifestyle, though flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service: • Early: 08:00 - 16:00 • Late: 12:00 - 20:00 • Waking Nights: 20:00 - 08:00 What We Are Looking For: • A resilient, patient, and empathetic nature with a passion for supporting young people. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly. • Prior experience in health and social care, youth work, or supported living is a plus, but a great attitude and values-driven approach are most important.
