OverviewAn established environmental and building consultancy based in Bristol is seeking an experienced Sustainability Consultant to join their growing sustainability team. Day-to-DayYour typical day will involve:
• Conducting BREEAM assessments and liaising with project teams to ensure compliance with sustainability standards.
• Preparing detailed sustainability reports and strategies for clients.
• Attending project meetings to provide expert advice on sustainable building design.
• Collaborating with colleagues across disciplines to deliver integrated consultancy services.
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and contributing to the development of innovative sustainability solutions.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Sustainability Consultant, you will:
• Deliver BREEAM assessments from design stages through to certification.
• Act as a BREEAM Assessor and/or Accredited Professional (AP) where applicable.
• Provide expert sustainability advice to clients and project teams.
• Develop technical reports and sustainability strategies tailored to project needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues across carbon and energy disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Support the ongoing development and expansion of sustainability consultancy services.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have:
• Proven experience in delivering BREEAM assessments.
• A BREEAM Assessor qualification (essential).
• A BREEAM AP qualification (desirable).
• A background in building services, sustainability, or environmental consultancy.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to project delivery.
Additional experience or knowledge in carbon reporting, energy modelling, EPCs, or low-carbon consultancy would be highly advantageous.
This role is ideally suited to candidates already based within commuting distance of Bristol, as an immediate start is preferred to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
