Job description

Tax Director - OMB / Private Business Clients A senior opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax professional to join a growing advisory team supporting owner-managed businesses and entrepreneurial clients across a varied portfolio. This role would suit someone currently operating at Director level, or an experienced Senior Manager ready to step up, who enjoys building long-term client relationships, leading teams, and delivering commercially focused tax advice. You'll work closely with business owners and high-value clients, acting as a trusted adviser across a broad range of tax matters while also playing a key role in the continued growth of the wider practice. The position offers a strong mix of advisory work, leadership responsibility, and business development, with involvement in everything from strategic tax planning and complex client projects through to mentoring teams and supporting wider growth initiatives. Key areas of responsibility will include: • Managing a portfolio of OMB and private business clients • Delivering strategic tax planning and advisory support • Leading on complex tax projects and client engagements • Identifying opportunities to expand services across existing relationships • Supporting and developing junior and senior members of the team • Working closely with leadership on growth plans and client strategy • Building new business relationships and strengthening external networks • Driving high standards across compliance, client delivery, and commercial performance The successful individual will be commercially aware, technically strong, and confident operating in a client-facing leadership role. Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships are essential. Applicants are to hold a recognised qualification such as CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent, alongside a strong background within accountancy practice or tax advisory services.
