Teaching Assistant - Full-Time Maternity Cover Secondary School - Bury Start ASAP £95 - £110 per day (dependent on UK Secondary School experience) Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Bury on a full-time maternity cover basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced education professional looking to make a positive impact on students' learning and development within a thriving secondary school environment. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support students both inside and outside the classroom. You will play a key role in helping pupils achieve their academic potential, build confidence, and engage positively with school life. The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include: • Providing classroom support across a range of subjects and year groups. • Working with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning. • Supporting students with additional learning needs, SEND, SEMH, or behavioural challenges. • Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation. • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting student engagement. • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff where appropriate. This is a full-time maternity cover position, offering consistency and the opportunity to become an integral part of the school community. Essential RequirementsPlease note: Only applicants who have previous experience working within UK secondary schools and UK education settings will be considered for this position. To be considered, you must have: • Previous experience working in a UK secondary school. • A strong understanding of the UK secondary education system. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning. • A passion for helping young people succeed. Pay RatesDaily rates are based on your previous experience working within UK secondary schools: • £95 per day - Less than 6 months' UK secondary school experience. • £100 per day - Between 6 and 12 months' UK secondary school experience. • £105 per day - Between 12 and 18 months' UK secondary school experience. • £110 per day - Over 18 months' UK secondary school experience.
