Job Title: Teaching Assistant Area: Tower Hamlets, East London Start Date: September 2026, Trial Now Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent (12-weeks) Salary: £100 - £110 per day (dependent on full-time experience) Working hours: 08:30 - 15:30 Brief description:Prospero Teaching are working with an outstanding secondary school for girls in Tower Hamlets who are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. Age 11 - 18. About the role:As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students across a range of subjects, working closely with class teachers and the SEN department. The role will involve both classroom-based support and working with students on a 1:1 or small group basis. We're looking for a dedicated candidate to: • Provide general classroom support across KS3 - KS5 • Support students with additional learning needs on a 1:1 and small group basis • Assist the class teacher in managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment • Help prepare learning resources and classroom materials • Support students with personal care where required (including intimate care) • Promote inclusion and encourage student engagement and confidence Requirements - • Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based desirable) • A proactive and positive attitude towards supporting learning • Strong communication and teamwork skills • A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection The ideal candidate would have: • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting • Experience supporting students with SEND • Confidence in carrying out general TA duties • Experience or willingness to support with intimate care needs • A patient, compassionate and adaptable approach Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
