Role: Teaching Assistant Location: M30 Pay: £14.25 to £16.65 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (Full-time, long-term) Start Date: asap Reeson Education are seeking a passionate and resilient Teaching Assistant to join an Alternative Provision and SEN school in the M30 area. This Teaching Assistant role offers the opportunity to make a real difference to pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, MLD, SLD, global delay, and other complex needs. The setting caters for pupils from primary through to secondary age, so the right Teaching Assistant will be adaptable and confident supporting a wide range of learners. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be: • Providing one-to-one support to pupils with SEMH and other needs • Leading small group interventions as a Teaching Assistant • Offering class support as well as targeted work outside of the classroom • Supporting pupils across different areas and provisions within the school • Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families • Using a range of strategies to engage and motivate learners This Teaching Assistant role will suit someone with experience in SEN or SEMH settings, although transferable skills from youth work, mentoring, or similar backgrounds will also be considered. The appointed Teaching Assistant must be committed, patient, and ready to adapt to the needs of each individual pupil.
