Teaching Assistant (KS2) – Long-Term Role – September 2026 Start Location: Rural Ormskirk Area Start Date: September 2026 Pay Rate: £16.35 per hour Hours: 8:45am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday Contract: Long-Term Temporary Position Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 2 Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding long-term opportunity within a welcoming primary school? We are working with a friendly and supportive primary school located in a rural area of Ormskirk, seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils across Key Stage 2, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and socially. The school offers a warm and nurturing environment, with committed staff, engaged pupils, and a strong sense of community. The Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will: • Support teaching and learning within Key Stage 2 classrooms. • Work alongside class teachers to deliver engaging and effective lessons. • Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups of pupils. • Help to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. • Support pupils with varying learning needs and abilities. • Assist with classroom preparation and general classroom management. The Ideal Candidate Will Have • Previous experience working within a primary school setting. • Experience supporting children within Key Stage 2 (desirable). • A positive, patient, and adaptable approach. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development. • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
