Teaching Assistant / Welfare Assistant - Primary School (Lancaster)North Lancaster Area | September Start | Long-Term Opportunity Veritas Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant / Welfare Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the North Lancaster area from September 2026 on a long-term basis. This is a varied role combining lunchtime welfare support with classroom-based Teaching Assistant responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and supporting their development both in and out of the classroom. Role DetailsWelfare Assistant • Monday to Friday • 12:00pm - 1:30pm daily • Supervising and supporting pupils during lunchtime • Promoting positive behaviour and ensuring children remain safe and engaged Teaching Assistant (Year 1) • Wednesday only • 9:00am - 3:00pm • Supporting the Year 1 class teacher with learning activities • Providing individual and small-group support • Helping pupils to achieve their full potential in a nurturing classroom environment The Ideal Candidate Will Have: • Experience working with primary-aged children (school-based experience desirable) • A positive, patient and caring approach • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children What We Offer: • Long-term position with a September start • Supportive and welcoming school environment • Ongoing support from your dedicated Veritas Education consultant • Competitive rates of pay • Opportunity to gain valuable experience within a primary school setting If you are passionate about supporting children and would like to be considered for this rewarding opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
