We are seeking an exceptional Team Leader Community Midwife to join Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, providing leadership across our Community Midwifery Service. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and support teams delivering high-quality, personalised care to women and families across a diverse and vibrant city. Working closely with the Matron and Deputy Head of Midwifery and Head of Midwifery, you will provide clinical, operational and professional leadership to community midwives, driving excellence in care, supporting staff development and contributing to the ongoing transformation of maternity services. What you will bring to the role We are looking for an experienced Registered Midwife who can demonstrate: • Significant post-registration experience, including experience working within community maternity services. • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and support teams. • Experience of managing workforce performance, recruitment, appraisal and staff development. • A commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, woman-centred and evidence-based care. • Experience of service improvement, quality assurance, clinical audit and change management. • Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills. • The ability to work collaboratively across organisational and professional boundaries. • Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills in a complex and fast-paced environment. • Knowledge of current national maternity priorities and professional standards. • A passion for developing others and creating positive learning environments for staff and students.
