Job description

Team Supervisor Northampton Hours: Monday – Friday 12pm – 9pm Ready to lead a high performing administrative customs team? ENB are looking for an experienced Supervisor (customs knowledge of experience isn’t required) to join their growing customs operation. This is more than just a supervisory role but an opportunity to shape processes, develop people and ensure the smooth movement of goods across international borders. As the Supervisor for the imports team, you will support the import customs department with operational efficiencies and deliver an outstanding service to their customers and European branches. Day to day: • Lead and motivate a team of declarants (administrator) in a busy operational environment. • Support the Import Customs Manager and manage the department in their absence. • Allocate workloads to ensure declarations are completed accurately and within service deadlines. • Monitor team performance through KPIs and driving continuous improvement initiatives. • Coach, mentor, and support team development. • Ensure full compliance with HMRC, Border Force, DEFRA, AEO, and internal procedures. • Work closely with customers, internal departments, and international colleagues to resolve customs queries. • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency while maintaining exceptional quality standards. • Promote a positive, collaborative, and safety focused culture. What experience do you need? You will already have experience within a supervisory role and be ready to embrace the learning of customs, additionally you will need: • To have a leadership style that is approachable and calm • Excellent organisational and problem solving skills. • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities. • High attention to detail and a passion for compliance. • A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
