Job description

Your new company Hays have partnered with a leading London university to appoint an experienced Test Analyst to support a major portal transformation programme currently progressing through UAT and release preparation. Working across business, technical and supplier teams, you'll help ensure new functionality is thoroughly tested, defects are managed effectively, and releases are delivered successfully. Your new role You'll play a key role in coordinating and supporting UAT activities across a complex digital platform environment involving portals, CMS functionality, integrations and authentication services. Key responsibilities will include: • Creating and executing test cases from requirements and acceptance criteria • Coordinating UAT activities and business users • Managing defects through to resolution and retesting • Maintaining test evidence, status reporting and documentation • Working with suppliers and project teams to investigate issues • Supporting release readiness and go-live activities This is a hands-on role that requires someone comfortable working across multiple workstreams and engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. What you'll need to succeed You'll have proven experience supporting UAT and functional testing within digital, portal, web or business system projects. Previous experience working in a university environment will be preferred, however public sector or university-adjacent industries will also be considered. You'll also bring: • Strong experience with test planning, execution and defect management • Experience coordinating business stakeholders and suppliers • Excellent communication and documentation skills • A proactive approach and ability to work independently Experience with CMS, portal or web projects is highly desirable, while exposure to APIs, integrations or authentication testing would be a bonus.
