Job description

Clinical Perform comprehensive assessment of patient nursing needs. Plan, implement and evaluate care according to changing health care needs. Supervise and support other team members within their remit. Collect, collate and report information, maintaining accurate patient records. Treat all information regarding patients and clients as confidential and use it only forthe purpose for which it was given. Where possible involve patients and carers/relatives in the planning and delivery of care. Work collaboratively/co-operatively and communicate effectively with multidisciplinaryteams/others to meet the needs of patients in theatre and recovery, and their family/carers. Establish and maintain effective communication with patients and carers/relatives. Recognise and respond appropriately to urgent, critical and emergency situations. Seek/act on advice from recovery team leader/speciality leader, or relevant other. Leadership/Management Act as an effective role model, Supervise others and participate in their education, training and development. Contribute to the development of services. Assist in individual performance reviews and personal development plans. Contribute to the effective use of physical and financial resources. Monitor and maintain health, safety and security of self and others.
