Job description

Premier Work Support are currently recruiting for a permanent Traffic Operator for one of their prestigious clients based in Standford Le Hope, Essex. Candidates must be able to start immediately. As the Traffic Operator you will be responsible for the day-to-day planning, coordination, and monitoring of transport operations to ensure jobs are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. This role acts as the key link between drivers, customers, and internal teams, managing live operations and responding to issues as they arise. Duties include: • Planning and allocating transport jobs to drivers and vehicles • Communicating job details, timings, and requirements clearly to drivers • Monitoring live transport movements and responding to delays or issues • Liaising with customers regarding collections, deliveries, and updates • Coordinating with warehouse and operations teams where required • Managing documentation such as PODs, EPODs, and job records • Escalating incidents, breakdowns, or service issues appropriately • Maintaining accurate records of daily transport activity Key skills required: • Previous experience in a traffic, transport, or logistics role specifically with containers • Strong organisational and time management skills • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment • Clear communication skills with drivers and customers • Knowledge of the Vehicle Booking System at the London Gateway Experience within logistics, transport, or warehousing is desirable, but not essential. Hours are Monday to Friday across various shift patterns included 4am - 2pm and 8am to 6pm. If you have all the skills and attributes for this role please apply on line.
