Transport Router - Colchester Salary £30,000 - £35,000 Role Overview We are seeking a Transport Router to support our Transport Team in planning and coordinating the logistics of waste collection and transportation activities. This role is central to ensuring efficient daily operations, accurate record-keeping, and high levels of customer satisfaction, while maintaining strict compliance with health and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities • Schedule and coordinate daily waste collection routes to ensure efficient operations. • Liaise with drivers to communicate instructions, monitor progress, and resolve operational issues as they arise. • Handle customer enquiries related to transport services in a professional and timely manner. • Promote a positive health and safety culture by following procedures and participating in training and briefings. • Assist with weighbridge operations, including accurate documentation and completion of waste transfer notes. • Represent the business professionally across all operational activities. Qualifications & Experience • Previous experience in transport or logistics is essential; experience within waste management is advantageous but not required. • Strong organisational and time-management skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • Strong problem-solving skills, particularly when responding to unexpected operational challenges. • A valid UK driving licence. Location & Employment Details • Based at a site near Wormingford, Colchester. • Full-time, permanent position. • Monday to Friday, with potential for overtime as required. • Salary negotiable, dependent on experience.
