Trauma Informed Lead Location: Birmingham Salary: £15.75 - £18 per hour Contract: Full-Time Fixed Term Contract (September 2026 to March 2027) Hours: 36.5 hours per week Help Shape a More Inclusive and Trauma-Informed College The College are seeking a passionate and motivated Trauma Informed Leads to support the delivery of an ambitious whole-college trauma-informed practice programme. This exciting fixed-term opportunity will play a key role in helping create learning environments where every student feels safe, included, valued and able to succeed. Working across the campuses, you will help embed trauma-informed approaches into teaching, support services, quality processes and everyday student experiences. About the Role As a Trauma Informed Lead, you will: • Deliver trauma-informed awareness training to staff across the College. • Facilitate specialist workshops, reflective practice sessions and development activities. • Support the development of internal Trauma-Informed Champions. • Conduct trauma-informed campus reviews and environmental audits. • Identify barriers to inclusion, belonging and student engagement. • Work with curriculum and quality teams to support continuous improvement. • Contribute to policy and systems reviews, ensuring alignment with trauma-informed principles. • Gather feedback, evaluate impact and support the development of future recommendations. • Build effective relationships with colleagues across curriculum, safeguarding, wellbeing, HR and student services teams. About You You will be: • Passionate about trauma-informed practice, inclusion and student wellbeing. • An engaging communicator with experience of delivering training, workshops or learning activities. • Experienced in supporting young people, adults or vulnerable individuals within education, community, wellbeing or support settings. • Skilled at building positive relationships and influencing change. • Organised, analytical and confident in producing reports and recommendations. • Committed to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
