Tree Climber (Bats)

Your new company You will be working for a well-established environmental consultancy delivering ecological, hydrological, and environmental advisory services across a range of infrastructure, development, and construction projects. Your new role • Climbing trees to inspect cavities, cracks, and roost features for bats. • Carrying out aerial inspections of trees and structures using climbing equipment and endoscopes. • Undertaking Preliminary Roost Assessments (PRAs) and assessing bat roost potential. • Supporting bat emergence, re-entry, and activity surveys, often during dawn or dusk periods. • Using bat detectors, infrared cameras, thermal imaging, and endoscopes to identify bat presence. • Recording survey data and producing field notes and reports. • Advising on ecological constraints, mitigation measures, and compliance with wildlife legislation. You will be supporting this project for 1 week (40 hours per week).
