Job description

To manage the development, submission and stewardship of high quality charitable trust and grant funding applications, delivering income in line with budget targets and supporting the long-term sustainability of Alice House Hospice. Proactively research and pursue new funding opportunities from charitable trusts, grant funders and other organisations. Manage and maintain relationships with existing funders, ensuring compliance with grant conditions and deliver high quality, timely reports to funders. Build and develop relationships with new and prospective funders. Engage with relevant networks, forums and resources to identify new funding opportunities and maintain up-to-date sector knowledge. Ensure up-to-date organisational knowledge, to foster an understanding of current needs and projects, to match these requirements to the appropriate funder. Maintain detailed and accurate records to ensure effective budget management and regular reporting to Senior Management and Trustees. Collaborate with CEOs and members of Senior Management Team on tenders, reports and applications as required. Collaborate with Hospice Communications Team to develop PR and online content regarding trust and grant stories. Occasional face-to-face meetings with funders or attending external funders events.
