Van Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established furniture business. We are looking for multiple Van Drivers to join the team on a temp to perm basis. Location: Stansted, CM22 7DG Job Type: 13 Week Temp to Perm Pay Rates: • £13.40 per hour • Increased to £13.82 per hour upon successful completion of probation Hours & Shift Patterns: • Monday to Friday • Average 50 hours per week • 06:00 start – approximately 14:30 finish • 14:00 start – approximately 22:00 finish • Full-time ongoing work available The Role: • Multi-drop delivery work across commercial and residential locations • Delivering furniture and household items including sofas, cabinets and other home furnishings • Up to 13 drops per day • Mixture of doorstep deliveries and room of choice deliveries • Some deliveries will involve furniture assembly within customers’ homes • Double manned vehicle crews • Drivers typically complete around 4 hours driving before swapping driving duties • Operating manual transmission vehicles • Providing excellent customer service at delivery points • Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently Requirements: • Full UK Driving Licence • Minimum 2 years driving experience required • Maximum 6 points for minor offences only • Comfortable with manual handling and heavy items • Good customer service skills • Reliable, professional and flexible approach to work Recruitment Process: • Initial interview • Driving assessment • Training programme • On-the-job training alongside experienced team members • Ongoing support from experienced delivery crews and management Benefits (Once Permanent): • 25% employee discount for yourself, friends and family • Increased to 50% discount after 6 months service • Private healthcare scheme • Birthday day off • 33 days annual leave including bank holidays • Progression opportunities through higher driver tiers, including Technician roles • Driver rewards and incentives including vouchers, treats and refreshments before runs • Supportive and people-focused working environment What’s on Offer: Ongoing, long-term work - Monday to Friday schedule - Consistent hours averaging 50 per week - Genuine temp to perm opportunity - Structured training programme - Career progression opportunities - Excellent employee benefits package - Supportive transport and management team To apply, please submit your CV or contact our team for more information.
