VICE PRESIDENT | NORTH AMERICA Location: North America (Canada & USA based) | Travel to Europe required Reporting to: Global Retail Director The Business Our client is a fast-growing global retail group, recognised as one of the largest and best-loved UK retail brands. With over 500 stores worldwide and an expanding footprint across North America, this is a business scaling at real pace - and this newly created role sits right at the heart of that growth story. The Opportunity As part of an ambitious international expansion, our client is seeking a dynamic, commercially astute retail leader to take on the role of Vice President, North America. This is a pivotal leadership position carrying full P&L responsibility for the entire US and Canadian store portfolio, alongside development of the group's additional retail brands in the region. You will shape strategy, drive profitable growth, and ensure operational excellence across a large and geographically dispersed business, leading a team to deliver an outstanding customer experience while hitting ambitious commercial targets. This is a genuine opportunity to help cement a leading international brand's position in the North American market. Key Responsibilities • Strategic Leadership - develop and execute the North American business strategy, with full P&L ownership, delivering against ambitious sales, growth and profitability targets. • Commercial Growth - drive top-line sales and market share through strategic merchandising, localised marketing, and a relentless focus on customer experience. • Operational Excellence - lead all aspects of retail operations including store performance, inventory management, labour optimisation and loss prevention. • Team Leadership & Development - lead, mentor and motivate a high-performing team of regional and store managers, building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. • Network Expansion - identify and evaluate new store opportunities, supporting the real estate pipeline and store launch process. • Market Insight - act as the voice of the North American customer, feeding insight back to the global leadership team to inform product, brand and business strategy. The Ideal Candidate • A proven retail leader with extensive senior-level, multi-site experience and a track record of success in the North American market. • A proven track record with expansion and growth of an international business in the North American market • Strong commercial acumen, with deep P&L management experience and a data-driven approach to decision-making. • A hands-on operator who thrives on executional excellence and process improvement in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. • An inspirational people leader, skilled at building and motivating large, geographically dispersed teams. • Functional knowledge of AI and modern technology as an enabler of operational efficiency. • Entrepreneurial and adaptable, with the ability to think strategically while staying close to the detail.
