Warehouse and Logistics Assistant (Part-Time) - Washington & WiganLocation 1: Washington, NE38 8QP Location 2: Wigan, WN5 0LF Contract: Temporary ( 6 months with possibility of extension ) Hours: 24 hours per week (3 days per week, 8-hour shifts) Typical Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour PAYE Overtime: Paid at 150% About the RoleWe are currently recruiting for two part-time Warehouse and Logistics Assistant positions to provide long-term sickness cover within a busy warehouse and inventory operation. We are specifically looking for candidates who live within approximately 30 minutes of the site location to provide flexibility and operational support when required. Available Working PatternsPosition 1 - Washington • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday • Washington, NE38 8QP Position 2 - Wigan • Wednesday, Thursday, Friday • Wigan, WN5 0LF This is a hands-on stores and inventory role where you will help ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded and maintained in a fully auditable manner while supporting the day-to-day operation of the warehouse. Full training will be provided. Key Responsibilities • Record and maintain accurate inventory movements and stock transactions. • Order, receive, pick, pack, issue and dispatch materials in line with operational procedures. • Maintain both electronic and paper-based inventory records. • Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts. • Investigate and report inventory discrepancies. • Secure and control inventory, tooling and safety equipment. • Support inventory management activities and reporting requirements. • Maintain a clean, safe and organised stores environment. • Follow all health and safety procedures and inventory control processes. • Support operational requirements while maintaining accuracy and compliance. • Provide occasional support to other locations where required. Essential Requirements • Full UK driving licence. • Ability and willingness to travel between sites as required. • Flexible and reliable approach to work. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong organisational skills. • Ability to follow established processes and procedures. • Positive attitude and willingness to learn. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desirable ExperienceThe following experience would be beneficial but is not essential: • Warehouse, stores or inventory control experience. • Goods-in / goods-out experience. • Stock control and inventory counting. • SAP experience. • Experience using inventory management systems.
