Warehouse First Line Manager

You'll be at the heart of the operation, leading by example and motivating your team to deliver exceptional results. Reporting to the Shift Manager, you'll drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement, ensuring performance targets are achieved through strong leadership and effective day-to-day management. This is a full-time, permanent position. You will work ‘any 5 from 7’, across our night shift, covering the hours of 22:00 till 06:00. Pay, benefits and more: We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £36,017.17 per annum plus shift premium, and 31 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day: • Lead teams to achieve and exceed KPIs while maintaining the highest standards of safety and product care • Ensure full compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety standards, including 6S and housekeeping • Allocate daily work, manage headcount and overtime, and control costs against budget • Drive continuous improvement by reviewing processes, maintaining SOPs and eliminating waste • Engage colleagues on the shop floor, deliver accurate shift handovers, and maintain clear performance reporting What you need to succeed at GXO: • Previous management experience within a fast-paced or complex environment • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate teams • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages • Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities and use initiative • Flexible, detail-focused and professional approach to work We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains. #LI-NS1 GXO is a leading provider of cutting-edge supply chain solutions to the most successful companies in the world.
