Dispatch Operative (Picker/Packer) Location: Rochester Salary: £24,785 per annum Hours: Full-Time or Part-Time | 8:15am – 4:30pm (7.5 hours per day) Industry: E-Commerce / DIY Products Important:Applicants must be willing to work Sundays, as this is our busiest trading day. About the Role We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Dispatch Operative to join our busy e-commerce fulfilment team in Rochester. This is a hands-on role where you'll play a vital part in ensuring customer orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time. As part of a supportive team, you'll help maintain high standards of customer service by preparing orders with care and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities • Picking customer orders accurately using handheld scanners. • Packing products securely and professionally for dispatch. • Labelling parcels correctly and preparing them for shipment. • Retrieving stock from the warehouse and moving boxes as required. • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment. • Assisting with stock control and inventory management. • Adhering to all health and safety procedures. • Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily targets and deadlines. What We're Looking For • Previous warehouse, picking, or packing experience is desirable but not essential. • Comfortable using handheld scanners and warehouse equipment. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach. • A dependable team player with good communication skills. • Flexible and reliable, particularly during busy periods. • A positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues when needed. Essential Requirement Must be available and happy to work Sundays – this is a non-negotiable requirement due to business demands and our highest order volumes occurring on this day. Warehouse experience: 2 years preferred, but not essential for the right candidate.
