Warehouse Operative – Back Shift – Uddingston Please note: Candidates who remain in the role after four weeks must be willing to complete a DBS check. People Solutions are currently recruiting Warehouse Operatives for back shifts at a large, well-established parcel-sorting hub in Uddingston. This is a physically demanding, fast-paced role and is ideal for reliable, hardworking individuals who can communicate confidently in English and work effectively as part of a busy warehouse team. Flexible, part-time and ad-hoc shifts are available, with the potential for longer-term contracts based on attendance, reliability and performance. This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a Picker Packer, Order Picker or Warehouse Assistant. Shifts • Start times normally vary between 2:00pm and 4:00pm • During peak periods, shifts may start as early as 11:00am • Finish times will vary depending on operational requirements and parcel volumes • Days available: Monday to Sunday • Ad-hoc shifts available, with increased hours during peak periods, including Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas, Easter and seasonal sales Rate of Pay • £12.71 per hour What We’re Looking For • Reliable and punctual individuals with a strong attendance record • Physically fit and comfortable carrying out demanding manual work • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment • Excellent English communication skills • Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions • Comfortable working afternoon, evening and variable shift times • A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to the team • Willing to complete a DBS check if continuing in the role after four weeks Day-to-Day Duties • Loading and unloading trailers • Sorting, scanning and stacking parcels • Lifting and moving parcels of various sizes and weights • Working efficiently to meet tight deadlines and productivity targets • Communicating clearly with supervisors and other team members • Following all site procedures and safety instructions • Maintaining high housekeeping and site-safety standards What’s in It for You? • Weekly pay • Immediate starts available • Flexible and ad-hoc shift opportunities • Increased hours during peak periods • Potential for a longer-term contract • Full training and on-site support Training • Industry related training and ongoing support throughout Apply Now: Apply today or contact Chloe at for more information.
