Warehouse Senior Supervisor Bedfordshire | Full-Time | Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits Are you an experienced warehouse professional looking to take the next step in your career? We're recruiting for a Warehouse Senior Supervisor to join a well-established and growing distribution business where you'll play a key role in leading daily warehouse operations and ensuring exceptional service delivery. Reporting to the Warehouse & Operations Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day performance of the warehouse team, coordinate workloads, monitor productivity, and ensure orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and thrives on driving efficiency while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. About the Company Our client is a respected UK distribution business supplying products to commercial customers across a range of industries. What's on Offer? • Competitive salary of circa £35,000+ depending on experience • Monday to Friday, 40-hour working week until 8pm • Company pension • Performance-related bonus • Free on-site parking • Ongoing training and development • A stable and supportive working environment Key Responsibilities • Supervise the day-to-day running of warehouse operations, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. • Lead and motivate the warehouse team to achieve daily operational targets. • Conduct daily team briefings, communicating priorities, workload, and health & safety updates. • Plan and allocate resources to meet changing customer demands and delivery schedules. • Monitor picking, packing, and dispatch activities to ensure accuracy and service levels are maintained. • Oversee stock movements and inventory control, ensuring records remain accurate. • Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained across the warehouse at all times. • Support staff development through coaching, guidance, and performance management. • Work closely with transport providers to coordinate collections and outbound deliveries. • Investigate operational issues and implement improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency. • Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and health & safety legislation. • Complete end-of-day operational checks, ensuring the warehouse is secure and prepared for the following shift. • Build strong working relationships with internal departments to ensure excellent customer service. Skills & Experience • Previous experience in a senior warehouse supervisory or team leadership role at least 5 years. • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, stock control, and distribution processes. • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or similar inventory software. • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop warehouse teams. • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. • A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail. • Knowledge of warehouse health & safety procedures and best practice. • Flexible attitude and willingness to support operational requirements when needed.
