Job description

Are you highly organised, hands-on, and confident working in a fast-paced warehouse environment? Our client is recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor to support day-to-day operations across warehouse, logistics, and transport functions. This is a key role within the business, working closely with the Operations/Logistics Manager to ensure stock accuracy, driver coordination, and warehouse efficiency remain at the highest standard. If you enjoy variety, problem-solving, and stepping up to lead when needed — this could be the role for you. The Role You will support and coordinate operational activities across warehouse and driver teams, ensuring smooth workflow and high service levels. Key Responsibilities Support the Operations/Logistics Manager across warehouse and transport functions Assist with daily planning for Drivers, Warehouse Operatives, Goods In, Goods Out, and Production Download and review driver tachograph data, providing feedback where required Maintain high levels of stock accuracy through effective control and allocation management Delegate tasks to warehouse staff to achieve daily KPIs Communicate with customers and internal departments to resolve queries efficiently Step up to oversee operations in the Manager’s absence Identify and implement process improvements Take a hands-on approach when required, supporting operations on the warehouse floor What We’re Looking For Strong communication skills with excellent customer service experience Highly competent IT skills and confidence learning new systems Solid stock control and allocation experience Strong organisational and planning abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Calm, methodical, and solutions-focused approach Natural leadership ability with confidence delegating tasks Desirable (but not essential) OrderWise ERP experience Supervisory or people management experience Full UK driving licence Fire Marshal or HACCP awareness Bendi/Flexi forklift experience What’s On Offer Competitive salary (DOE) plus generous company bonus scheme 22 days holiday plus Bank Holidays (additional days for long service) Auto-enrolment pension scheme Perkbox discounts and benefits platform Occasional overtime opportunities Genuine progression and career development opportunities Team events and one paid charity day per year Friendly, supportive office-based environment
