Job description

A manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee internal logistics and shop floor operations at a plant facility. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a key role in leading shop floor teams, managing inbound and outbound material flows, and embedding core logistics standards to ensure internal production needs are met efficiently and cost-effectively. Responsibilities • Supervise and coordinate daily inbound, outbound, and internal logistics activities on the shop floor. • Lead, train, and empower warehouse staff, ensuring full cross-training and adherence to standard operating procedures. • Implement and enforce core logistics standards (FIFO, labeling, traceability, stock transfers, and rack/pallet management). • Lead 5S activities and implement visual management tools across the shop floor. • Ensure accurate ERP transactions by end-users and address data adjustments or system modifications. • Proactively identify productivity gains to minimise stock handling effort and transport costs. • Diagnose operational bottlenecks, manage logistics risks, and foster a strong continuous improvement culture. Experience • Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Supply Chain, or equivalent practical experience. • 3+ years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or logistics environment, ideally in a supervisory role. • Strong knowledge of core logistics principles (5S, FIFO, stock optimisation, visual management). • Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office packages. • Background within the automotive manufacturing sector is highly desirable. • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to manage shop floor teams effectively.
