Job description

Key Responsibilities: • Customer Interaction: • Conduct video calls and email correspondence with customers / internal department heads • Lead warehouse floor tours for clients and stakeholders to demonstrate operational efficiency. • Staff Management: • Manage timesheets for both agency and full-time staff. • Oversee staffing requirements, including scheduling, and ensuring appropriate coverage. • Manage agency workers and support staff to maintain productivity. • Conduct disciplinary actions, appraisals, interviews, and performance reviews. • Work alongside General Manager to ensure smooth running of all warehouse processes and expectations. • Shift Handover Management: • Prepare detailed handover emails to facilitate seamless transitions between shifts. • Ensure comprehensive updates from the previous shift and prepare for upcoming operations. • Daily Preparation and Workflow: • Support warehouse supervisors to prepare all work areas for operational readiness at the start of each day. • Alongside warehouse supervisor, monitor and manage workflow to meet cut-off times and maintain productivity targets. • IT Interaction and Monitoring: • Raise IT issues promptly and liaise directly with IT support for quick resolutions. • Monitor and manage internal and customer systems on an hourly, daily, and weekly basis. • Documentation and Correspondence: • Maintain professional email communication both with customers and internally within the team. • Utilize Word and Excel for documentation, data entry, and reporting purposes. • Floor and Process Management: • Ensure that all warehouse processes and protocols are followed throughout the day. • Oversee and support the building of units and other warehouse tasks as needed. • Act as a leader on the floor, ensuring staff compliance and operational efficiency. • General Warehouse Duties: • Perform ad hoc warehouse duties as necessary to support the broader team and maintain operations. Qualifications and Requirements: • Proven experience in warehouse supervision or a similar role. • Forklift operation qualifications (essential). • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage in customer-facing activities. • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills. • Ability to manage agency staff effectively and support employee development. • Familiarity with warehouse management systems. • Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage workflow to meet deadlines. Preferred Skills: • Experience in handling IT-related matters within a warehouse setting. • Knowledge of cut-off time management and process optimization.
