Weekend Chef - 8524 Hours: 16 per week – Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 - 19:00, with an hour unpaid break. Term time plus Summer School (40 weeks per year). Additional shifts and a flexible pattern are available for the right candidate. Location: Holmbury St Mary, Surrey. (You MUST DRIVE and have your own transport due to the remote location) Rate: £20/hr (Annual salary £14,592) Overview We are looking for a Weekend Chef (Saturdays and Sundays) for a wonderful family run private boarding school nestled in the Surrey Hills. The school are looking for a talented individual to join the team producing and serving freshly prepared meals for 300 boarders using top quality locally sourced products. You will be using a modern, well-equipped kitchen and a full-sized outside wood burning pizza oven. The position will include the preparation of fresh food and with serving customers, as well as with washing up and cleaning at the end of service. Uniform will be provided. Due to the remote location and lack of public transport, your own transport is essential. About You The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a busy catering environment and be able to work as part of a team. You will be rewarded with a competitive salary. Must be able to work with initiative and self-motivation as you would be working within a small team CDP and 2 x catering assistants). Able to work across 40 to 60 covers for normal weekends and 150 covers on event days. An all rounder who can make mains as well as simple desserts.
