Job Description Are you passionate about creating safe, healthy, and high-performing workplaces? As the Work Health & Safety (WHS) Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting workplace health, safety, wellbeing, injury management, and return-to-work programs across both our Corporate Support Centre and Distribution Centre operations. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will work closely with leaders and team members to identify and manage workplace risks, drive compliance with WHS legislation and best practice, and deliver initiatives that promote a proactive, safety-first culture. Working within a collaborative safety team, you will provide hands-on support across office and operational environments, coaching leaders, influencing positive safety behaviours, and contributing to the development and implementation of safety programs, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. Your ability to build strong stakeholder relationships, provide practical solutions, and champion wellbeing will help create workplaces where our people can perform at their best and return home safely every day. Key Responsibilities Safety Leadership, Risk Management and Compliance • Lead and support practical safety initiatives that improve risk management, compliance, and safety performance across Corporate Offices and Distribution Centres. • Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, audits, and assurance activities, partnering with leaders to implement effective controls and safe systems of work. • Review workplace practices, policies, and procedures, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and operational excellence. • Monitor legislative changes, industry developments, and emerging risks, ensuring the business remains compliant with WHS obligations and best practice. • Support managers in implementing health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives across their teams. Incident Management and Investigation • Oversee incident, hazard, and near-miss reporting processes, ensuring timely investigation, resolution, and reporting. • Lead incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventative actions. • Manage notifiable incident reporting requirements and liaise with regulators where required. • Monitor corrective actions to ensure effective and sustainable risk controls are implemented. • Analyse safety performance data and incident trends to drive targeted improvement initiatives. Injury Management and Return to Work • Manage workers' compensation and injury management processes from initial notification through to claim closure. • Coordinate Return-to-Work (RTW) and Recovery-at-Work programs, working closely with injured employees, managers, insurers, rehabilitation providers, and healthcare professionals. • Develop and administer individualised RTW plans that consider operational requirements and employee capacity. • Support leaders with suitable duties, workplace adjustments, and injury management obligations. • Monitor claim progression, maintain compliance documentation, and provide regular case updates to senior leaders. • Manage RTW and injury management KPIs, identifying opportunities to improve outcomes and reduce claim duration and costs. Coaching, Training and Stakeholder Engagement • Act as a trusted WHS advisor, providing expert guidance, coaching, and support to leaders and team members. • Deliver WHS training, inductions, workshops, and toolbox talks to build organisational capability and safety awareness. • Facilitate consultation and engagement activities, including supporting Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) and WHS Committees. • Partner with operational and corporate teams to embed proactive risk management and positive safety behaviours. Building a Positive Safety Culture • Champion a safety-first culture where health, safety, and wellbeing are integral to everyday decision-making. • Influence and support leaders to create safe, healthy, and high-performing workplaces. • Foster strong relationships across corporate and operational environments to drive engagement and shared ownership of safety outcomes. • Help ensure all employees can perform at their best and return home safely every day.   You have… • A Certificate IV in WHS with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in workplace health and safety (essential). • A comprehensive understanding of the Work Health and Safety legislation. • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with proven interpersonal abilities. • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills to handle competing priorities. • Demonstrated capability in developing toolbox communication and training resources. • Experience in delivering workplace training sessions and mentoring employees. • Expertise in all aspects of risk management. • A Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (preferred).
