Yard Operative/ Driver

JOB TITLE - Yard operative / Driver JOB LOCATION - BCA Thurleigh, BCA Fleet Solutions, Thurleigh Business Park, MK44 2YP PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: To carry out basic vehicle movement, handling, and storage operations in accordance with site and customer requirements. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: • Carrying out basic vehicle movement and handling • Using HHD scanners to scan, locate and direct all vehicle movements (initial training will be provided) • Carrying out basic vehicle checks as required and report findings to line manager • Ensuring all vehicles are parked as per relevant customer standards • Responsibility for your own safety and of those who work around you • Maintain a safe driving standard and adhere to site speed limits • Checking all vehicles for damage before moving and reporting any damage found to line manager • Carrying out other yard operation duties as requested by the yard chain of command PERSON SPECIFICATION: · Excellent communication skills · Ability to work well as part of a team and independently · Must be comfortable driving manual and automatic vehicles · Ability to work under pressure · Full valid driver’s licence · 2 years' experience in a similar role (driving) Those with First Aid and/or Fire Marshall Certification and experience will be looked upon favourably, but this is essential for the role Mandated Yard Op Compliance · Right to Work · Driving Licence · DVLA Check - Max 6 points (0 preferred).
