Job description

Young People’s Wellbeing Practitioner Full-Time position; 35 hours per week Based in Huntingdon and Peterborough Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 Closing Date: Thursday, 27th of August at 12:00 midday. Interviews will take place on the 9th of September 2026 with Young People Panel interview in the same week. Centre 33 have an exciting opportunity for a qualified CWP or EMHP to join our multidisciplinary locality team, delivering excellent mental health and wellbeing support to young people aged 13 – 25. This is a varied role that combines holding a ‘Guided Self-Help’ caseload (delivered in-person or online from our hubs), alongside the opportunity for creative projects that may include, for example, workshops, groupwork, assessments, and the development of wellbeing resources and communications. The young people you support will have chosen to access low intensity CBT in their initial assessment, whether that be through our internal self-referral route (‘Someone to Talk To’ Drop in), or through professionals and self-referral routes from ‘YOUnited’. This is a hub-based role. We are ideally looking for someone to work within our North multidisciplinary team, based in our Peterborough and Huntingdon hubs (with travel across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough when necessary). However, we would also consider candidates interested in working within our South team (Cambridge and Ely) – in which case please add a note on your application. Centre 33 is an ambitious and growing charity based across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. We offer a range of high-quality services to young people aged up to 25, including information and support on a “drop in” basis, mental health services, counselling, housing and financial advice, sexual health support and support for young Carers. As a voluntary sector organisation, we can offer a unique working environment that is dynamic, highly supportive and flexible with opportunities for creative thinking, innovation and professional development. We welcome all applicants who share our vision that all young people deserve the best possible help seeking experience, that is kind, empowering and free of judgment. Please note: Candidates need to hold a qualification in either Child and Young Persons Psychological Wellbeing Practice PGCertificate / Diploma, or Educational Mental Health Practitioner PGCertificate / Diploma, to be eligible for this role.
