1:1 Primary Teaching Assistant - KS1 - NewhamA warm and supportive Primary School in Newham is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a KS1 child with Autism (ASD). This is a full-time role starting ASAP until end of academic year The Role • Providing 1:1 support for a KS1 child with ASD who is pre-verbal • Supporting communication and engagement through Now & Next boards, visual aids, and structured routines • Assisting with Phonics-based activities and early learning tasks • Supporting the child's social and emotional development • Providing personal care when required • Working closely with the SENCO, class teacher, and external specialists Requirements • Previous experience supporting children with ASD and complex needs • Confidence using visual supports (Now & Next boards, visual timetables, PECS, etc.) • Understanding of Phonics in early literacy development • Patient, nurturing, and able to build trust and consistency • Comfortable supporting with personal care Job Details • Role: 1:1 Primary Teaching Assistant (KS1, ASD) • Location: Newham • Start Date: ASAP • Contract: Long-term until end of academic year (extension likely) • Pay: £95 - £110 per day (paid weekly) Apply now and Contact Aaron at Remedy if you want to get in touch fast -
