Job description

An excellent opportunity to join this prestigious international company. With beautiful Central London offices, you will be joining a small team who manage the payments and transactions for their international business. The role will be varied and training will be given on specific systems and processes but the ideal candidate will have solid experience in an accounts department ideally dealing with purchase ledgers and invoices. The main duties will include: - • sorting and processing invoices • distributing invoices to appropriate department for approval • updating creditors' ledger • responding to queries from suppliers, issuing statements • assisting with supplier payments • preparing monthly funding cycle of estimated requirements • regular updating and control of Excel for monthly costs • reconciling ledgers, managing cashflow and recharging expenses • ensuring accuracy of all postings • processing payments for approvals • general office administration Skills needed: - • experience of working in an accounts office • numerate, analytical, methodical • the ability to see the bigger picture • excellent communication skills to keep in contact with internal and international colleagues • confidence to liaise with brokers • an interest in geography, maritime affairs and macroeconomics ideal
