Administration Officer Braintree, Essex £12.75 PAYE Full-Time | Temporary | 37 Hours per Week | We are pleased to be supporting our client on the recruitment of two Administration Officers to join their team on a 6-month temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced administrators with strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and confidence working with multiple IT systems. Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to work on-site five days per week during training, with hybrid working available following a successful training period. The Role You will be responsible for undertaking full reviews of Council Tax Support applications using the Civica Open Revenues system, ensuring all applications are processed accurately and in line with the Council Tax Support Scheme. You will also provide support to customers by responding to enquiries via email, telephone, and face-to-face. Key Responsibilities • Review existing Council Tax Support applications in line with the relevant scheme. • Update customer records using the Civica Open Revenues system. • Use the DWP Searchlight system in accordance with Local Authority guidelines. • Ensure customer income and household information is accurate and up to date. • Prioritise higher-risk, higher-value and older cases during the review process. • Respond to customer enquiries via telephone, email and face-to-face. • Maintain accurate records while handling sensitive and confidential information. • Deliver a high standard of customer service throughout the review process. We're looking for candidates who have: • Previous administration experience within a busy office environment. • Experience using IT systems, including Excel • Strong customer service experience. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • A professional approach with a strong understanding of confidentiality and GDPR principles.
