Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a highly regarded law firm as an Administrative Assistant. This is an ideal role for someone with strong administrative and organisational skills who is looking to develop a career within a professional services environment. Working as part of a busy and supportive legal team, you will provide administrative and secretarial support to the legal Fee-Earners to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the department. Key Responsibilities • Providing administrative support to the lawyers. • Preparing standard correspondence, emails and legal documents. • Typing letters, reports and other documentation. • Assisting with electronic invoicing, including preparing client invoices, debit notes and credit notes. • Managing files, scanning, photocopying and general document administration. • Preparing attendance notes, memos and meeting minutes. • Typing trip reports and other documentation as required. • Assisting with the docketing and processing of incoming correspondence. • Supporting the team with a variety of day-to-day administrative tasks. To be successful in this role you will have: • Previous administrative or secretarial experience. • Excellent typing and keyboard skills. • Outstanding written communication, spelling and grammar. • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet deadlines. • Exceptional attention to detail and pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. • A proactive and flexible approach with a willingness to support colleagues. • Experience within intellectual property or trade marks would be advantageous but is not essential. • Experience using digital dictation or audio typing would also be beneficial.
