Agency Social Worker - Children's Front Door / Screening Team

Our client, Leicestershire County Council, is seeking an agency Social Worker for its Children’s Social Care Front Door / Screening Team. This post will last at least 3 months, paid at £38 per hour. The role will involve the following: • The role involves screening contacts and referrals, analysing information, applying thresholds and making timely recommendations to ensure children and families receive the right response at the right time. • Screen and triage contacts and referrals relating to children and young people. • Gather and analyse information from families, professionals and partner agencies. • Apply safeguarding thresholds and make clear, evidence-based recommendations. • Record decisions, rationale and outcomes accurately and within timescales. • Work effectively with Children’s Social Care, Targeted Family Help and multi-agency partners. Requirements of the role: • Qualified Social Worker • Fully Social Work England registered • 3 years post-qualified experience in employment of a local authority (DFE rules) • Recent experience in Children’s Social Care, ideally front door, MASH, screening, duty or assessment. • Strong safeguarding knowledge and confidence in threshold decision-making. • Ability to work at pace in a high-volume environment. • Excellent recording, analysis and communication skills.
