As a Supervisory Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer, you will lead a small team of engineers across a portfolio of commercial, critical, data centre and banking environments. Alongside supervising day-to-day operations, you will remain hands-on, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, supporting engineers on technical issues, and ensuring works are completed safely and to a high standard.
Duties
• Supervise and support a team of Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineers across multiple commercial sites.
• Deliver planned preventative and reactive maintenance on commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Carry out Air Conditioning and Refrigeration works, including minor projects and refurbishments.
• Fault find, diagnose and repair a wide range of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration systems.
• Work on Single Splits, Multi Splits, VRV/VRF systems, VAVs, DX Units, Close Control/CRAC units and associated plant.
• Service and maintain commercial refrigeration equipment, including cold rooms, walk-in chillers, freezer rooms and integral refrigeration units.
• Carry out compressor, condenser, fan motor and expansion valve replacements, along with brazing, soldering, pressure testing, evacuation and refrigerant charging.
• Provide technical support and mentoring to engineers on site.
• Liaise with subcontractors and clients to ensure works are completed efficiently.
• Ensure all statutory documentation and service reports are completed accurately and on time.
Requirements
• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent).
• F-Gas Category 1 (2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants).
• Strong experience servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial Air Conditioning and Refrigeration systems.
• Previous experience leading or supervising engineers, or looking to step into a supervisory position.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
Salary & Benefits
• £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience.
