WelderSalary: Circa £40,000 - £41,000, rising to £46,000 - £48,000 after 3 months Working Hours: 3 Shift Pattern (Days/Backs/Nights), moving to a 4 on, 4 off Continental Shift Pattern after training. Commutable from: Edinburgh, Livingston, Dunfermline and surrounding areas. First Achieve's Engineering Division are recruiting for an experienced Welder to join a global manufacturing leader.This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent position with a world-class engineering business offering long-term stability, genuine career progression and excellent earning potential. Following an initial three-month training period on a rotating days/backs/nights shift pattern, you'll move onto a 4 on, 4 off continental shift pattern, increasing your salary to circa £46,000 - £48,000 per annum. The RoleWorking within a busy manufacturing environment, you'll be responsible for producing high-quality welded components to exact engineering standards using a range of welding processes. Key Responsibilities • Carry out MIG, TIG and ARC welding on a variety of metal components and fabrications. • Assemble and weld components in line with engineering drawings and specifications. • Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently. • Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and customer standards. • Read and interpret engineering drawings. • Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment. • Follow all health, safety and quality procedures. • What We're Looking For • Previous experience as a Welder within a manufacturing or engineering environment. • Experience with MIG, TIG and ARC welding. • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. • Welding qualifications or a relevant apprenticeship are essential • Flexible approach to shift working.
