Welder

• Annual Salary: Competitive • Location: Alton • Job Type: Full-time We are seeking a skilled and qualified Welder to join our machine shop team. This role involves carrying out high-quality welding work in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and company quality standards. Day-to-day of the role: • Perform MIG, TIG, and/or MMA welding as required. • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. • Inspect welded components to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with all regulations. • Maintain welding equipment and ensure a safe working environment. • Adhere to all health and safety procedures at all times. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Relevant welding qualifications/certifications. • Proven experience in a welding role within a manufacturing or engineering environment. • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings. • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Additional Duties: • During quieter production periods, the Welder will support other activities within the machine shop. • This may include assisting with machining operations, assembly work, general workshop duties, housekeeping, and other tasks as directed by the Production Manager to support the efficient operation of the business.
