Assistant Accountant - FMCGSalary: Up to £165 per day Contract: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract Location: Hybrid/Flexible Start Date: Immediate Assistant Accountant - 12-Month ContractWe are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a growing FMCG business on a 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who is immediately available and looking to gain experience within a fast-paced, dynamic commercial environment. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will support the month-end process, financial reporting, reconciliations, and day-to-day finance operations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within an FMCG or high-volume environment and be confident managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Key Responsibilities • Assist with month-end and year-end finance processes • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations • Support management reporting and financial analysis • Maintain accruals and prepayments • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities • Analyse financial data and investigate variances • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as required • Help improve finance processes and controls About You • Previous experience as an Assistant Accountant or in a similar finance role • Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, distribution, or another fast-paced environment preferred • Immediately available or available at short notice • Strong Excel skills • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines • AAT qualified, studying towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA, or qualified by experience What's on Offer? • Up to £165 per day • 12-month contract with an immediate start • Opportunity to join a successful FMCG business • Hybrid working available • Supportive and collaborative finance team • Valuable commercial finance exposure We are happy to provide application and/or accessibility support, please contact your Marks Sattin or Grafton consultant directly to discuss your needs.
