Change Lives.New Chapter Tuition is proud to be working exclusively with a specialist vocational education provision to recruit a Behaviour Mentor for a full-time, permanent role. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing specialist provision supporting learners from KS3-KS5 with SEMH, ADHD, emotional and behavioural needs, and those who have experienced trauma. Through practical, hands-on vocational learning, you'll help learners rebuild confidence, re-engage with education and develop the skills they need to succeed in further education and employment. The RoleAs a Behaviour Mentor, you will: • Build positive, trusting relationships with learners. • Support learners on a 1:1 basis and in small groups of up to 8, delivering engaging vocational learning. • Support learners with SEMH, ADHD, SEND and additional needs. • Use effective de-escalation and positive behaviour management strategies. • Create a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment. • Promote confidence, resilience and independence. • Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to achieve positive learner outcomes. About YouThis role would particularly suit candidates with experience in: • Armed Forces or Military • Cadet Forces (Army Cadets, Air Cadets, Sea Cadets or Combined Cadet Force) • Alternative Provision • Youth Work • Learning or Behaviour Mentoring To be successful, you'll have: • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. • Experience supporting children and young people, particularly those with SEMH, SEND or additional needs. • Confidence managing behaviours that challenge using positive behaviour support and de-escalation techniques. • Resilience, empathy and the ability to build trust with young people. • A genuine passion for improving outcomes and helping learners achieve their potential.
