SANZA Teaching Agency is excited to offer a youth mentor role at a specialist school in Wandsworth supporting 15-16 year old boys with social, emotional, mental health needs - offering £100-£110 per day based on experience with pay review at October half-term! We're seeking a tough, dedicated behaviour mentor and TA to work in this alternative provision setting supporting students who need strong role models. THE ROLE This behaviour mentor role is both challenging and rewarding. You'll be: • Supporting students with (SEMH) social, emotional, mental health needs in small classes of 8 teenagers • Working as a youth mentor with KS4 boys who love football and need solid, reliable role models • Providing academic support and social support in this alternative provision setting • Building strong relationships while delivering TA support to students facing social challenges • Helping students overcome barriers and access learning despite their difficulties • Using mentoring skills to guide students through tough situations and academic progress • Making a real impact in this demanding educational environment WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We want a resilient behaviour mentor with genuine interest and commitment to supporting young people with SEMH needs facing challenging circumstances. Ideal experience or qualities (not completely necessary for the right attitude and personality fit): • Experience as a TA (Teaching Assistant), behaviour mentor, youth mentor or in social support - particularly in alternative provision or PRU settings • Understanding of social, emotional, mental health challenges faced by young people • Excellent behaviour management skills suitable for SEMH students in demanding environments • Tough and compassionate approach when working with challenging students - with strong boundaries • Experience in SEN settings, youth work, or providing social support ideally Wandsworth based • Team Teach training highly desirable for handling challenging situations • Experience in the Education and Training sector in Wandsworth HOW TO APPLY Click 'ApplyNow' for this behaviour mentor opportunity, or contact Emma Heyes @ SANZA Teaching Agency for more information about this TA position on E:
