Your Company: NET Recruit are partnering with an innovative and highly successful specialist manufacturing business to assist them on their search for a Business Development Manager to cover the UK on a national basis. This organisation has built an outstanding reputation for designing and delivering high-quality modular cold storage solutions to customers operating within highly regulated and demanding industries. Through continual investment in product innovation and customer service, the business has established itself as a trusted partner to organisations across the pharmaceutical, chemical and logistics sectors. Due to continued growth and ambitious expansion plans, the company is now looking to appoint an experienced business development professional with a proven ability to generate new business opportunities and develop long-term commercial relationships across the UK. Your Role and Responsibilities: While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to: • Identifying, targeting and securing new business opportunities across the pharmaceutical, chemical and logistics sectors • Managing a defined portfolio of prospective customers through the company's CRM system • Developing and executing strategic business development plans to achieve ambitious sales targets • Building strong relationships with key decision-makers across target organisations • Presenting and promoting the company's modular cold storage solutions to prospective customers • Conducting customer meetings, site visits and product demonstrations across the UK • Maintaining an accurate and active sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities are progressed effectively • Working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are fully understood and delivered • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities to maximise business growth • Producing regular sales forecasts and pipeline reports for senior management • Representing the business professionally within the marketplace and maintaining the company's excellent reputation What you will need to Apply: To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must have a demonstrable track record within a business development or field sales role, with a strong emphasis on generating new business rather than account management. Applicants should possess previous experience selling into the pharmaceutical, chemical or logistics sectors, alongside an established network of industry contacts and the ability to identify and secure new commercial opportunities. Previous experience selling modular cold storage solutions would be highly advantageous, although candidates with strong experience selling technical products or solutions into these markets will also be considered. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills, alongside a proactive and target-driven approach. Experience managing opportunities through a CRM system and developing structured sales pipelines will also be essential. As this is a national field-based role, applicants should be comfortable travelling extensively throughout the UK.
