We are currently recruiting for Carecall Officers to join our Independent Living Carecall Team in Stockport. This is a full-time role working an average of 37 hours per week on a rota basis. This role requires flexibility, as you will work on a rotating shift pattern that includes day shifts, night shifts, and weekends. You must be comfortable working alone at times and with different colleagues across shifts to ensure continuous service delivery. As a Carecall Officer, you will be part of a vital service that supports over 5,000 customers across Stockport. The Carecall service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing a 24-hour telephone monitoring system and a TSA-accredited Falls Response Service. You will play a key role in helping customers remain safe and independent in their own homes. This rewarding role focuses on responding to emergency alarm calls and providing reassurance, support, and assistance to customers when they need it most. You will handle incoming calls from customers requiring urgent help, including those who have experienced a fall or are in distress. Another key part of the role involves attending customers' homes to deliver a safe, professional, and compassionate lifting service when required, helping individuals maintain their independence while ensuring their wellbeing. You will also be responsible for carrying out basic repairs and maintenance to monitoring equipment, installing new devices, and educating customers about the range of assistive technology available. By promoting and supporting the use of technology-enabled care solutions, you will help people to live safely, independently, and confidently in their own homes. We are looking for someone who is caring, empathetic, and able to build trust with customers. You should be highly organised, able to follow procedures independently, and confident using IT systems. A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
