Are you an experienced Electrical professional looking for a flexible teaching opportunity where you can share your industry knowledge and inspire the next generation? We're looking for enthusiastic Casual Electrical Lecturers (PTL) to join our Engineering department on an hourly paid basis. Whether you're already teaching or currently working in industry, this is a fantastic opportunity to use your expertise to deliver high-quality learning and help students develop the technical skills they need for successful careers in the electrical industry. With flexible hours available to suit curriculum requirements, this role is ideal for professionals looking to combine teaching with industry or other commitments. This role would roughly be expected to work 21 hours per week, across 3 working days - this can be negotiated and can be discussed further in your interview. What you'll do: • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Electrical programmes. • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop students' practical skills and theoretical knowledge. • Assess student work and provide timely, constructive feedback to support progress. • Create an inclusive learning environment that motivates learners to achieve their full potential. • Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, progress and achievement. • Support students both academically and pastorally throughout their learning journey. • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an outstanding learner experience. • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement within the department. What we're looking for: • A Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or a related electrical discipline. • Industry experience within the electrical sector. • Experience of teaching, coaching, mentoring or transferring skills to others. • A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one). • Excellent communication and organisational skills. • The ability to engage, motivate and inspire learners from a range of backgrounds. • A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous professional development. • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and adults.
