Moulton College is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Lecturer in Electrical to join our Building Services, Professional & Technical team. The Role
As a Lecturer in Electrical, you will deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences to students across a range of programmes. You will play a key role in supporting learners to achieve their full potential while contributing to curriculum development and maintaining high standards of teaching and assessment.
Key responsibilities include:
• Delivering high-quality teaching across full-time, part-time and short courses
• Acting as a course tutor and supporting student progress and achievement
• Assessing learner work and maintaining accurate records
• Supporting curriculum development to meet industry needs
• Participating in student recruitment events, open days and careers fairs
• Contributing to quality assurance and internal verification processes
• Promoting safeguarding, wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion
• Supporting the development and maintenance of learning resources and facilities
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Essential:
• Has experience working within the electrical or construction industry
• Holds a Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in Electrical
• Has GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
• Is willing to work towards a recognised teaching qualification if not already held
• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Can motivate and inspire learners of varying abilities
• Has experience supporting successful learner outcomes
• Is committed to continuous professional development
Desirable:
• Level 3 Electrical qualification or higher
• Teaching experience within Further or Higher Education
• Relevant professional qualifications
• Assessor and/or IQA qualifications
• Degree, Master's or PhD in a relevant subject area
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and technologies
