Job description

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded provider of children's residential care services for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker. You'll work within a supportive residential setting where your experience, leadership and passion for making a difference will help create a safe, nurturing environment in which young people can thrive. The RoleAs a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will: • Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the home. • Provide guidance, coaching and support to Residential Support Workers. • Deliver high-quality, child-centred care tailored to individual needs. • Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people. • Support education, independence, life skills and personal development. • Promote positive behaviour through therapeutic and restorative approaches. • Ensure safeguarding remains at the heart of all practice. • Maintain accurate records, reports and care documentation. • Work collaboratively with families, education providers, social workers and other professionals. • Ensure the home operates in line with current legislation, regulations and quality standards. • Participate in sleep-ins and flexible shift patterns as required. About YouEssential • At least 12 months' experience working within a children's residential care setting. • Full UK Driving Licence. • Passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Resilient, calm and able to work effectively under pressure. • Flexible approach to shifts, weekends and sleep-ins. • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Desirable • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent). • Previous experience leading shifts or supervising colleagues. • Knowledge of therapeutic childcare approaches. • Good understanding of Children's Homes Regulations and safeguarding legislation.
