Rather than focusing on direct clinical delivery, this role offers the opportunity to shape the future of Head and Neck Cancer and ENT services through strategic leadership, workforce development, service transformation and quality improvement. As a Clinical Service Manager, you will work alongside experienced clinical leads and multidisciplinary teams to ensure services remain responsive, sustainable and patient-centred. You will have the opportunity to lead change, support staff development, contribute to organisational priorities and influence service delivery across the wider Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service. The role is ideally suited to an experienced Speech and Language Therapy leader who is motivated by developing people, improving services and making a lasting impact on patient care through effective leadership. What you will bring to the role The post holder will provide operational and professional leadership for the Head and Neck Cancer and ENT Speech and Language Therapy pathways while contributing to the leadership and development of the wider Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service. The role will mainly focus on service leadership rather than direct clinical delivery but may have some element dependent on skills and will include responsibility for workforce planning, service development, quality improvement, governance, performance management and supporting the delivery of strategic objectives. The post holder will work collaboratively with pathway leads and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective and sustainable services, while supporting staff development, recruitment, retention and succession planning. Applicants should have advanced knowledge and understanding of Speech and Language Therapy practice, together with significant leadership and management experience. Whilst experience within Head and Neck Cancer or ENT services would be advantageous, we welcome applications from candidates with transferable leadership skills and a strong track record of leading services within Speech and Language Therapy.
